Indian weddings are famed for their grandeur and opulence and Indians pull all stops when it comes to celebration and their wedding frequently resembles a carnival. Sagan is the first ceremony in an Indian Wedding preceding a long list of rituals. Sagan Ceremony is usually performed in the groom’s house usually ten or twelve days before the day of the marriage. The girl’s family visits the groom’s carrying ‘tikka’ material and wrapped gifts. Sagan is basically a ceremony where the relatives from both the sides get to know each other.
